What to look for in a good bamboo sheet set

- Skip thread count, check GSM. Thread count is a cotton metric and means little on viscose, so look for a gram-per-square-meter weight instead, with 300 to 400 GSM being the range for a sheet that won't feel like a plastic bag.
- Look at the corners. Deep, reinforced elastic pockets that fit a mattress 14 to 16 inches thick are a sign of decent construction, while cheap sets use shallow, thin elastic that slips off within a few washes.
- Expect to pay for it. Verified US sellers in this category run about $45 to $359 for a set, and anything priced well under that floor is usually cutting the fabric weight or the stitching to get there.
