Camera remotes from US brands and US-based sellers

6 US brands and sellers surfaced here at $4.22 to $82.00, each verified from Amazon's own published seller info. Last verified August 21, 2026.

A camera remote is a simple device, so quality shows up in the parts you can't see on the product photo: the strength of the signal, the feel of the shutter button, and whether the contacts corrode after a month. The cheap versions usually cut corners on range and on the half-press autofocus function, not on looks.

What to look for in a good camera remote

  • IR versus RF signal. Infrared remotes need a clear line of sight to the camera's sensor and stop working past about 15 feet, while radio-frequency remotes work through bags and around corners at 100 feet or more, so check which one you're actually buying.
  • Half-press shutter button. A real remote lets you half-press to lock focus before firing, the same as the camera's own shutter button, and knockoffs often wire it as a single dumb switch that just fires blind.
  • Battery and contact quality. Look for a remote that takes a standard CR2032 or AAA battery in a screw-down or snap-tight compartment, not a sealed unit with bare metal contacts that green up after a few damp shoots.
  • Price as a signal. Verified US sellers in this category run from about $4 to $82, and anything priced well under that floor is usually cutting the range, the build, or both to hit that number.
