Light pads from US brands and US-based sellers

7 US brands and sellers surfaced here at $11.99 to $429.99, each verified from Amazon's own published seller info. Last verified August 16, 2026.

A light pad lives or dies by how evenly the LEDs spread across the panel and whether the surface stays flat under a stack of paper for years of use. The throwaway versions chase a rock-bottom price by using thin, flexible plastic panels with a handful of LEDs in the corners, so you get hot spots and dim edges instead of even light.

What to look for in a good light pad

  • Panel material. Look for a rigid acrylic or tempered glass surface, not a springy plastic sheet that will yellow and scratch within a season of tracing.
  • Brightness control. Real units offer stepped or dial dimming across at least three or four levels, cheap ones give you one blinding setting or a flicker-prone touch button.
  • Even illumination. Check for LEDs lining the full edge or a diffusion layer behind the panel, sold-out corner lighting means dark patches under anything bigger than a postcard.
  • Price as a signal. US-sold light pads generally run from about $12 for a basic A5 pad to $450 for large professional light tables, so anything priced far under that floor is cutting corners somewhere you can't see in the listing photos.
